St Andrews Grange, Armley

Termrim Construction delivered St Andrews Grange (now named Tower Lane) in Armley for Yorkshire Housing, working collaboratively with Acanthis and the design team. Secured through the Procurement Hub Development Contractors Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), the scheme provides 50 affordable homes, comprising 27 houses with one to four bedrooms and 23 one- and two-bedroom apartments.

The site, formerly an industrial factory, required extensive remediation works as part of the preparatory phase. Termrim delivered new infrastructure, services and drainage systems to meet project specifications and ensure compliance with sectional agreements with both Highways and the local water authority. Landscaped areas were also created to enhance the development and provide high-quality green spaces for residents.

Sustainability was a key focus throughout the project, with Termrim and Yorkshire Housing working collaboratively to incorporate energy-efficient solutions. For the apartments, internal air-source heat pump cylinders were installed, complemented by rooftop solar panels. These measures support reduced carbon emissions and lower energy costs for residents.

The project was delivered in phases, enabling early handovers and supporting quicker occupation by Yorkshire Housing.

Registered under the Considerate Constructors Scheme, the development aligned with industry best practice for community engagement, workforce safety and environmental responsibility, achieving a perfect 45/45 score at the final visit and being shortlisted for a CCS National Site Award.
