Rawson Wood, Sowerby Bridge
Rawson Wood is a brownfield regeneration scheme delivering 30 new affordable homes for Together Housing in Sowerby Bridge. The development provides a mix of two- and three-bedroom properties, including homes designed to enhanced accessibility standards, increasing the supply of high-quality affordable housing within the district. The project is being delivered through the Efficiency North (EN:Procure) New Build Housing Framework.
The scheme is one of Termrim’s first fully gas-free residential developments, designed to achieve EPC A ratings throughout. Each home incorporates Air Source Heat Pumps, photovoltaic panels with battery storage, enhanced insulation, EV charging points and A-rated appliances, supporting long-term sustainability and reduced operational carbon for residents.
The steeply sloping site required extensive retaining structures, deep surface water attenuation and careful groundwater management, alongside constrained access through an established residential estate. Environmental mitigation, woodland protection and structured social value commitments have been embedded throughout delivery, ensuring sensitive integration within the local community.
