Oxbow Manor, Shrewsbury
Having previously successfully delivered the Oakfield Croft Care Home development in Sale, Termrim Construction was appointed by Care UK to complete the Oxbow Manor Care Home in Shrewsbury, following the previous contractor entering administration.
The new state-of-the-art facility provides permanent and short-term residential nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 80 residents. Each resident benefits from a one-bedroom suite with an ensuite wet-room, alongside a vast range of high-quality communal facilities including a café, cinema room, hair and beauty salon, pub/bar, library, shop, family guest suite, lounges, a reminiscence room, areas for church services, and a gym.
Externally, the development features extensive landscaped gardens, accessible pathways, and outdoor seating areas designed to support resident wellbeing and create a safe, relaxing environment for residents and visitors alike.
Oxbow Manor has been finished to a high specification, incorporating modern building management technologies and energy-efficient solutions, including a fully integrated Building Management System (BMS) and a combined heat and power (CHP) system, to enhance environmental performance and long-term operational sustainability.
Termrim’s collaborative approach with Care UK, KWL Architects, and AECOM as Employer’s Agent, ensured the careful completion of this important facility to the highest quality standards. The project was completed in November 2022, with the new care home welcoming its first residents shortly afterwards.
